We were in British Columbia last week – my first significant road trip. We went to Victoria and I played on the gravel beach while the birds flew by and the big ships blew their horns in the distance. There were funny-smelling, squidgy-wet green things near the water’s edge that I did not like. There were birds of all sizes scurrying about, flying hither and thither and yon, soaring up, swooping down. They were twittering, jittering, chittering, squeaking, squawking – generally a terrible din. I was watching this closely, following it all, listening to all their silly jabbering when Uncy Jay took this.

I think he got my good side, don’t you?
