Peeps n Poops

Dear Friend,

I’ve been settling in here quite well, or so they say. Of course, there are a few things I haven’t quite figured out yet – you know, like poops and peeps.

On the farm I just pretty much let rip anywhere I wanted – “Ooh, it’s time to go… there, that’s better!” – but here, for reasons I haven’t yet figured out, doing it like that doesn’t seem to win me any friends.

I’m quite outgoing, you know, easy to get along with in general, but I’m also quite private, especially about my ‘functions’, so this business (pardon the pun) of being watched every time I free the beast is really quite difficult to take.

I mean, take yesterday for example. I wasn’t really counting, but they were! “Three poops and four peeps all day,” they said, and not only that, they made notes on whether I went indoors or out! Strange, huh? Listen, when I have to go, I just go – there’s nothing complicated about it, really. Indoors, outdoors, whatever.

I know they’ve been taking me outside a lot, and I like that because back on the farm I spent most of my time on the floor in the basement. But for some reason they get annoyed when I have all that fun outside then come back inside, realize that I forgot to go while I was out there, and let it go where I stand. I just don’t understand how something so natural can cause such a storm of protest!

Anyway, hopefully in time I’ll figure it out because I like these guys. Hey, maybe the newspaper they’ve started putting all over the place is the answer.
